I got ahold of SpecialBites, a Dutch restaurant guide, the other day, and while I happened to be in Den Haag yesterday, we thought to try out the fifth best recommended restaurant in the top 100, and the best recommended restaurant in Den Haag;Oni. It was amazing. Atmosphere and food were top notch.

And the price?
Well, we wouldn’t do it every day, or even every week, but definitely doable once in a while… it wasn’t much more expensive than some other restaurants around that don’t offer nearly the same quality or experience.
Yesterday, I went to [url=http://www.restaurantred.nl/]Red[/url], and bumped into this crazy Irish guy, Kevin, that I knew from Hoorn. Claus, Sam and I once took him on a St. Paddy’s ride, and he famously got lost for over an hour, only to return drunk off his rocker and shirtless, not knowing where he’d left his shirt. Anyway, he’s a chef at the restaurant now. The place was pretty cool, really warm in atmosphere. Their menu is [i]very[/i] limited; tournedos (heavenly), lobster, or Surf ‘n Turf (half a lobster and tournedos). That’s it. They have a good selection of different wines, champagnes, cavas and proseccos, and some great desserts. It’s a concept you see more often lately, good atmosphere, good selection of wine, and a very limited selection of food.
If the food is good, they can do that:)
