Mother: The Surprise

So, two days ago, my mother was told that she was done with the radiology on the tumor in her lung. They had utilised a relatively new way of applying radiology, namely that they concentrated the waves on the tumor, instead of her entire body, which is what used to be normal. They bombarded the tumor, and while it’s still there, they claim the cancercells have all been destroyed. I’m pretty skeptical, so I’m not celebrating just yet. They’re going to check again in three months to see if there’s any chance, and to see if her brain is still clear of cancer, and they’re going to keep periodically checking (once every three months, then once every six months, then once a year, etc.) but for now, they consider the cancer to be in remission. Crazy, but finally some good news!
