20071106 – Today

.: Issues
Issues; we all have them. My sister jolts awake every night at the exact time my father died. Me? The last time I went swimming was the day I heard my father had cancer. The time before that was when I heard my mother had cancer. I didn’t want to go swimming again. Today I forced myself to go swimming. I almost chickened out. When talking to my step-father once, I told him that I had come through our childhood relatively unscathed, unlike my sister. He laughed at me and told me I was wrong. He said that the things I’m afraid of I actively seek out and confront. While I don’t think he’s entirely right in that assessment, he does have a point. This is another example of it. If today I get any bad news, I’m going to be crushed, but I’m defiantly terrified and confident that I won’t get any bad news.

.: Old Shadowrun Website
I shelfed my old Shadowrun website with the intention of putting up a new one. I had thought my intended new Shadowrun campaign would have started by now, but so far it hasn’t. I am considering putting the old pages back online after scanning the referrals to this website (most of them from Shadowrun pages linking this website as a good resource of third edition material.)

.: The Fountain
I’m feeling a bit melancholy, but I’m sure that has something to do with listening to Clint Mansell a lot, lately. Right now I’m listening to the score of The Fountain, which is one of Aronofsky’s films I haven’t seen yet, and I can’t really say why. It kind of flew underneath the ole radar, I guess.

.: Work
Another release is out the door. We’ll most likely get some support on it in the coming weeks, but hopefully my schedule remains clear for me to focus on some of the internal .NET projects that I need to clear off my desk.

.: Reminder to Dennis
Don’t forget the Rollins tickets, guy!

  1. Good to hear you’ll put the old pages back online. They contain a bunch of information that every potential SR player will enjoy and will give them a good feel of the flavour of the game.

I’ll think of the ticket…as a matter of fact I’ll start when I’m done with this post :)

  2. OK…..finding the ticket wasn’t that much of a problem….but I just found out that he’ll be in town when I’m out of the country for a vacation. Damn that sucks :(
