Today I spotted an incoming call on my colleagues phone. Number recognition told me that it was “Ice.” I thought maybe that Josh (known by some as Instant Cash, or Ice for short) was calling my colleague, which would be interely weird. Turned out it was his brother, who’s not called Ice at all. Afterwards I asked my colleague why he was labelled “Ice” in his phone, and he told me that it was a commonly understood abbreviation for “in case of emergency” and that emergency workers call that number if they find it in your contacts. I never knew this, and it makes me wonder how common it really is.
It’s getting pretty cold here. There’s no snow yet, but it’s getting cold enough for the ponds to start freezing over slowly. Hopefully it keeps up and we’ll have a nice snowy christmas this year. The trees are already looking quite winter-ee, with frost covering all the branches and twigs. It looks like a Bob Ross painting. And we all know that Bob rules the world.
I have been ultra-emotional lately, and I am beginning to get really tired of it. I’m looking forward to some nice, calm, possibly drug-induced emotional flatlining. ;)
I have an ICE number.
Same here! ICE is programmed

I’ve heard about this and been informed a few times, but I haven’t ever done it.
How crazy would it be if it was actually Josh. That would friggin’ trippy man..
I’ve read about this somewhere and immediately put ICE1 (so as not to be confused with random people with ICE nickname ;) ) contact in my phone.
It’s as cold in Poland as it is in A’dam – freaking weird. No snow here, either. :(
We’ve got a little snow right now. :)
Now, seriously, that’s just unfair. :( I’ve seen it just twice in 2,5 years in A’dam and it falls when I’m away?! Ehh… you don’t think you could keep it there for a while, huh? You know: ask, demand, beg, bribe… whatever works, man! I’d appreciate it. ;)
Its not really snow. Its just, you know, so cold everything is frosted. It snowed in Limburg though…
Who cares about Limburg?
Limburgians?
I got’s ICE, 1 and 2 in fact. It really is worth doing.
