I just came back from the hospital where they made x-rays of my foot to check to see how my heel is faring. Well, it’s broken, but it’s not a bad break, and it’s healing well. My GP suggested the x-rays this morning because I’m still dealing with some pain several weeks after breaking my heel and she was worried it wasn’t healing properly and it had to be reset again. Things are fine and it’s just going to take a little bit more time.

So they DO send you for x-rays in this country, after all. Weeks after you broke sth but still I guess it needs to be taken into account as a point in their favor (especially taking into account patient’s unwillingness to visit a doctor earlier, in this case). I’m honestly surprised. ;)
Good luck with the recovery. I suppose it would be slightly hypocritical of me to tell you to stay off it and just rest, eh?
I swear to god, if you’re not mums kid, no one is. “Oh, my foot is broken, lets walk with it for half a year first” and mum: “Oh, a grapefruit sized tumor in my head? Tough! I was in ‘Nam!”
