- Mental Note: Tomorrow is Sammo’s birthday.
- [Enchant 2H Weapon – Savagery!] ftw! Oh, and it’s amazing how easy it is to play a rogue.
- Yesterday my mother was diagnosed with skin cancer and probably cancer in her stomach. Woo-fucking-oot. They’re upping her dosage of pain medication, but it’s likely it’s only going to make her more drowsy, something she doesn’t want. Her and her doctor are now seriously considering euthenasia. Her doctor tells her that she’s very much elligible right now.
- I could use a few days off. I’m tired and unmotivated.
- There’s a smoking ban on all public places here in the Netherlands that’ll be in effect a few weeks. The more I think about it, the less I’m in support of it. And I don’t even smoke. In short, I think that making it illegal for people to smoke in public places like restaurants is suppressing the liberty of smokers. If non-smokers really desire a non-smoking restaurants, then the market will take care of that. There are already plenty of non-smoking restaurants out there, although I have to admit that they often don’t advertise it well enough, so they might be hard to identify.
- The Daily Show makes me happy.
- I just got the first e-mail of one of my players tentalising me with promises of a great character concept. I am looking forward to Shadowrun more and more.
- I’ve finally gotten into The Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum. It took a while for it to get going, and for me to get over all the differences with the movie (which I loved). Ludlum’s ability to create a complex, yet clear story.
- Eh,…I’ve got nothing.
[edit]
- After having downloaded and watched a documentary on Rutger Hauer, I say again that he looks so much like my father did. Not just physically, but also in mannerisms and speech.

Rogue= EZ-mode.
and..
I didn’t know had skin cancer… Why don’t people tell me these kind of things BEFORE I go to a party..
It’s that thing under her arm. She’s going to get it removed soon.
Oh, and what kind of party did you go to? Judging by the shoutbox comment you made, probably a good one. Was it through school?
SR character concept….who sent one already…you’re still working on a story right?
Yes, I’m still working on the story. In fact, I’m still working on the synopsis of the story. Eva e-mailed me and said she had a good idea, but I haven’t seen anything yet. It’s likely that it’ll take a little while longer before we start, and it’s also likely that you’ll miss part of it. Don’t worry, though, I’ll keep you well informed and I’ll save the best for when you’re back. :D
_I_ heard that Robin got drunk… which I find hard to imagine, and also I’m not sure I _want_ to imagine. Since when do they let babies get drunk? ;)
Is it 3rd Ed. SR or 4th? (Don’t know that one yet).
I might as well give it some thought and see if I can come up with a character concept.
I’m going to go for SR3 for the simple fact that I don’t want to go for 4th and then restrict your choices in gear and whatnot because we’re not that far along in the timeline. Also, I’m not so familiar with SR4 yet that I want to open my campaign with it.
The Daily Show makes me happy.
Gitmo, senior imprisoned correspondent, ftw! Especially when he keeps corpsing.
I’ve finally gotten into The Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum.
Good trilogy of books but so different from the films, which ins understandable considering the the times in which they were written. Thankfully I read them back when I was about fifteen so the whole book/film difference was fine by me. Hell, I can remember ripping off the general concept for characters. :)
I want to make a character. I just don’t know how to. You know what I want to play, how about you help me out a bit?
I’ll gladly help you out. We’ll have to sit down and talk about it when we have some free time soon.
My character is le awesome. I’m very excited.
SR3 please! All that rules stuff if the boring part of gaming, I’d rather not learn it again.
you are so very right, he does look alike and not in that “in a flash” type of way either. also the older pictures of dad and rutger hauer are so much the same. there was one, in a brown suit, pfff…
