The Weekend

I had a pretty good weekend. Friday night, I had dinner at an Argentinian place, since Moulsari was craving large slabs of dead animal, and afterwards, we watched Death Proof. On Saturday I actually managed to sleep in, waking up bastard-late at just a bit before noon. That never happens to me, but I’ve been going to bed late, and waking up early to go swimming a lot lately, so I guess I had some catching up to do. Though, if you take Henry Rollins’ word for it, there’s no such thing as “catching up” when it comes to sleeping.

Saturday night I went to Electronation at the Sugar Factory. It was Electronight, which certainly isn’t for everyone. The first DJ started off fantastically, and got my way in the mood. He finished his set around 2.30 am or so and I was pretty hungry for more. The second DJ, the main act, wasn’t so good. He was very electro, and incredibly minimal, which gets boring quickly. We decided to get another drink at Suzy’s before getting some junkfood and heading home.

Sunday, I got to sleep in again – (Two days in a row? There must be something wrong.) – and I went to prepare my game of that afternoon. Had a relaxing early afternoon, then headed for gaming, which ended up going very, very well. Came home, watched 2 Days in the Valley (review coming soon), and fell asleep. But not before the weirdest thing ever happening; Marco sent me an SMS congratulation me with my birthday! I mean, he’s the guy that always sends me an e-mail in mid-August starting with; “Now, we all know I suck as a friend, but…” Very cool. :)

Hatred: The Discovery

So, while living with Moulsari, I learned and started to understand something about myself. I used to (and still do) hate brushing my teeth before going to bed at night. I hated it! I finally figured it out; I go all out throughout the day, and when I hit the point where I want to go to bed, I’m tired, and I really just want to go to bed. I don’t want to have to deal with anything else…but going to bed. Anything standing in my way annoys me. Now, Moulsari is the exact opposite. She loves to do chores right before she goes to bed, and loves to make me help her. Oh, how I hate it.

A Compliment…Maybe

Today, as I arrived at work, one of my colleagues was standing outside smoking. She said; “Jesus, you look dangerous!” “Eeh, wut?” I asked her. “You know, just the way you walk over, all broad and intimidating,” she responded. “Oh, thanks…I think,” I stammered. A compliment…maybe.

[wRx] Lightbox

I just implemented Lightbox on my galleries page. I really like it, and I am impressed by the scripts behind it. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to make use of it. It’s a little buggy here and there, you can’t, for instance, click any of the images when the page is still loading, the lightbox effect won’t appear, then. And when a lightbox loads an image that goes beyond the scope of the page as it’s defined, it gets a little wonky, but other than that it’s superb! Check it out!
