Things have changed for me. For the good, I believe. A small recap;

.: New York City
I went to New York City for two weeks, helping Moulsari pack and ship all her belongings and helping her celebrate her last few weeks in NYC. The weather was fantastic and we had a great time. We managed to squeeze everything in 35 qu. feet and ship it off, leaving enough clothing and possessions she’d need to hit the ground running and would tide her over until her shipment would come in. Those possessions filled five suitcases, all of which were overweight, leaving us to pay through the nose to get them on the plane.

My minimalist, “travel ligth” self was crying all the way to the airport.

.: Texas
After not having seen Marco for a good while, Moulsari and I flew over to Austin for three days of fun with him, his wife Clarissa and their friends, some of which I knew well, and some of which I hadn’t met before. Fun was had! It was good to see Marco. He’s like my big brother, and it pains me deeply to go long stretches of time without seeing him. He hadn’t changed much, though he became a little more radical than he already was, which, in my opinion, is both a good and a bad development. We had a discussion about it, and an awkward moment. I initiated it, mostly because time was running out, and I knew I wouldn’t have had a chance to talk to him about it. Hopefully we’ll be able to see one-another soon and talk some more. E-mail doesn’t lend itself well to the type of discussions we have.

.: Amsterdam
Back in Amsterdam things are a little hectic as I tried to make room in my apartment for Moulsari. We’ve applied for her residency permit, and are busy looking for a new apartment, which is keeping us busy.

More later.
