So, not only is my mother seriously ill, my father’s liver, due to an infection, has shut down on him, and he’s been admitted to the hospital yesterday. At this rate, regardless of the fact that my (mother’s side of the) family is very large, I’ll have run out of family members by the end of the year.

My father will most likely be okay. The worst thing that could happen, as far as they know now, is that he might need a liver transplant. (Living Donor Liver Transplant (LDLT) is something I’m looking into, since I’ll most likely be compatible and the chance of rejection will be low. Now to convince my father to allow that…)

Jesus wept. What is it with your family? Did one of you mortally offend a voodoo priest or something in a past life ’cause this is just getting ridiculous. That said, best wishes and fingers crossed over here for a good prognosis.
