I can’t seem to stop myself from disappointing pretty much everyone in my life – including myself – but luckily I have a sugar-rush from the best banana I’ve ever had. It’s surprising how well fiber and sugar can turn your mood around. I think they should start handing out bananas at the suicide ward of mental institutions. I would like some skittles right now to further my soaring good mood. :)

I have two bags waiting for you at my home. They’re due to head your way soon
Finally my birthday gift? :)
Everyone is bound to disappoint others in his life. It is not possible to satisfy everyone’s expectations to you. Disappointing others in order to stay true to yourself is a hard thing to do, but it’s a brave thing to do and the only way that guarantees you to stay yourself. Just don’t expect anyone to jump up with joy when you disappoint them, ok? ;)
And sugar’s good. :)
I started doubting the argument of staying true to yourself a couple of years ago when I had an interesting conversation with one of Eva’s uncles, who claimed that trying to stay true to yourself only makes you rigid and ultimately stands in the way of progress. Flexibility and adaptability are key.
There is lots to say for flexibility and ability to compromise. Still, at times it’s worth it to insist on having your own way. Only you know when bending won’t break you. And even when you’re a master of compromise and flexibility – you won’t be able to satisfy everyone in your life. What I meant to say by staying true to yourself was that you should focus on not disappointing yourself – since it’s easier to disappoint others if you are sure of your decisions.
BTW it’s not that I encourage you to disappoint everyone and be totaly selfish! Definitely should be avoided whenever possible. :) It’s just that it’s worrying that you feel that you’re disappointing yourself.
Nope, the Skittles are just a thingy I thought you’d like. Your gift is still pending (fully aware of it as a matter of fact…)
What is it with you an skittles man? :)
He likes to taste the rainbow, evidently.
